Dear Alcove First Hill residents,
A lot has happened in the two weeks since we joined your community! We hope that you are appreciating our efforts to improve your home.
There are a few things we’d like to update you on.
Building access
We will be discontinuing the 4-digit code used for door access as soon as we get the parts we need to fix the entry system and issue new key fobs. This should happen by January 21.
At this time we will also be activating a system where visitors can call up to your apartments so you can let them in. We hope this will be convenient for you.
We will only issue key fobs to people who are on the lease in your apartment. If you have more occupants than are currently on the lease, please let us know so we can get your roommates added and get them key fobs.
Roof access
You may have noticed that we have locked the roof doors due to security and safety concerns. We will be installing keypads on the roof doors and allowing residents to have access again starting in mid-Feburary. We’ll communicate more at that time, but in order to gain access you will need to sign an additional waiver.
Trash area
We have increased the frequency of trash pick up to three times a week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. This will help us keep the trash dumpsters from overflowing and the area clean.
However, the garbage trucks can only get in if the alley is clear for 5′ on either side of the entrance. It’s a tight turn, and if they can’t get in, they will skip the pick up (and we get charged anyway!).
Please help us by reporting any cars you see parking within 5′ of the alley entrance. You can use the City of Seattle’s Find It Fix It app to report cars that are blocking the yellow strips next to the alley.
If the dumpsters are full, please do not leave trash next to the dumpsters or over-fill the dumpsters. Please just wait to take your trash out until there is room. Hopefully with 3x weekly pick ups this won’t be an issue.
Thank you!
Thank you all and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything!
